December 2 - A Day of Giving
During the holiday season, we have one day for giving thanks and three days for getting deals: Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday. This year, you can help create a new day for giving back on Tuesday, December 2.
Our goal is to raise $4,000 on December 2 to make Christmas bright for 325 low-income people by sharing a very special holiday meal on Christmas day.
This dinner is an expression of care to those who lack a proper kitchen, cooking equipment, utilities or whose circumstances otherwise prevent them from sharing Christmas dinner in their home. Many of our guests this day are children.
Your contribution of $12.50 will provide one guest with:
Toys and gifts for the children
Socks and hygiene supplies
Hope, dignity and respite on this special day from the struggles that each guest is facing.
We hope you'll join millions of others across the country and make a difference on Tuesday, December 2. Not only will you be a part of a movement that is changing lives, but by making a gift to SnowCap on #GivingTuesday, you'll directly help low-income people during this special season.
SnowCap is the largest source of emergency food in the state of Oregon. We serve over 9,000 people in the Portland metro area each month. Our mission to feed and clothe low-income people in East Multnomah County is carried out with the help of 1,000 volunteers led by 9 paid staff, and without government funding.
We are a nonprofit 501(C)3 organization and your donations are fully tax deductible. Our Tax ID # is 23-7121915
